One of my photos was recently chosen for Digital Photo Pro's "Emerging Pros" competition for 2009. I was very happy to be selected as an honorable mention of the competition.

The background was shot in this gymnasium right outside of the Osaka Castle. I came back to the Bay Area with many great images of Japan. I wanted the image into a portrait. I contacted the San Francisco Kendo Dojo- and with their cooperation I was able to photograph one of their sensei's at their dojo. The image was later composited in.
